Services FAQ

What services does Ad Hoc Logistics offer?

Container drayage, OTR and final-mile trucking, box-truck delivery, warehousing and 3PL, fulfillment, transloading and cross-dock, hazmat transportation, oversize and out-of-gauge freight, customs-bonded moves, pallet rework and apparel distribution — all off the Ports of Seattle and Tacoma.

What's the difference between drayage and transloading?

Drayage is the short trucking move that pulls a container off the terminal. Transloading is transferring the freight out of that ocean container into domestic trucks or onto pallets — so it can ship deeper inland or get stored. We do both under one roof.

Which ports do you serve?

The Ports of Seattle and Tacoma (the Northwest Seaport Alliance) and the Port of Everett, plus delivery across the wider Pacific Northwest.

Do you handle hazmat and oversize freight?

Yes. We run hazmat-endorsed drivers and compliant equipment for placarded containers, and we move oversize, overweight and out-of-gauge freight on flatbed, stepdeck and multi-axle chassis with permits handled.

Can you do box-truck and final-mile delivery?

Yes — liftgate, inside and local box-truck delivery for palletized freight that doesn't need a full 53-foot trailer, plus OTR and final-mile from the port to the receiver's door.
